Question: How do I disable or block animated ads in Internet Explorer 7?
Answer: You can block animated ads in Internet Explorer 7 by doing th followiung:
1) Open Internet Explorer and click on ‘Tools‘
2) In the drop down menu, click ‘Internet Options‘
3) In the pop up window, select the ‘Advanced‘ tab
4) In the Settings scroll down menu, go to the Multimedia heading and then untick ‘Play Animations in webpages‘.
5) Click ‘Apply‘ and then ‘OK‘. Then restart Internet Explorer 7 for the change to take effect.

@ozbecool – That’s because this is for IE7. And I really advice you to upgrade to IE8 or to the latest version any other web browser. IE6 breaks the web and is unsafe.

Thanks for this tip – it WORKS! Now, how can I stop ads from moving or flipping – any motion that is other than moving pens, talking people and dancing figures, which your tip does not stop. I don’t want to disable the flashplayer because I get a yellow bar at the top of every page asking to install it, etc. Thanks much for your help! Dwight
